“The decision to talk to a sick child about death is never easy…” - many parents struggle with dealing with “what’s right”. Most are scared that their choices aren't the best. Pretty much every doctor advises parents to be honest and direct with their children and/or family members about what’s happening to them. Being informative can calm fears and reassure them that this illness is not their fault and they aren't being punished. Human beings are apart of families, something that can be easily forgotten during difficult periods. So communication is important, especially among physicians and doctors.
