Soft determinism is the view that; although determinism is true and our choices are causally determined, we can still be said to act freely when we do what we want to do. This is one of the more popular determinisms, with philosophers like; Thomas Hobbes, John Locke, and David Hume, who believe is soft determinism. They came to assumptions that, you are free as long as your arnt being forced or prevented from doing it. My choice of graduating early in there eyes, would be considered soft determinism. Even though, this option was presented to me, i still wasn 't forced todo it, there for it was a determination on my own.
Lastly, after the two views of determinism the final one is indeterminism. Indeterminism is the view that atleast some events are uncaused. According to some defenders of free will, indeterminism must be true if free will is to be possible. If an indeterminist was to view my choice on graduating early, they would simply classify it as indeterminism.
