Global warming is the absolute most alarming environmental issue that the world faces today. Global warming is the gradual increase of Earths surface, ocean, and atmosphere temperatures. Global warming is a greenhouse effect that is caused by Earths atmosphere coming in contact with radiation from the sun. Carbon dioxide, water vapor, methane and nitrous oxide are polluting the air causing the warming of Earths temperature. Pollution is collecting in the atmosphere like a thickening blanket, trapping the sun 's heat and therefore warming the planet. Not only is the surface temperature increasing, the atmospheric temperature and ocean temperature are increasing as well; endangering plant and animal life. Prevention of further damaging our ecosystem is better than doing nothing at all. People are the number one contributors to global warming so if every individual contributed a small amount everyday we could make this world a cleaner, more livable place for everyone. Global warming has already taken the lives of thousands of people as well as all of the numerous animals and plants that have gone extinct that we will never get back. We are endangering every life by polluting the atmosphere; we must take action now and make this a top priority in order to change these lazy habits. If government regulations and restrictions on the amount of carbon dioxide emitted will help people to see how important this is than that should be the answer to our worldwide problem. People need to realize how easily a few minor changes to wasted energy will help in the future to a better, cleaner
