Most of us at a young age are taught that reading is a chore, which is given to us by the American education system. The system is better known as the common core, it is steadily ruining the love and passion children, teens, and young adults could develop for writing and reading literature. It all takes back to around the ages of five, or possibly younger if parents are determined, children are unwilling forced to read whatever the “states” curriculum requires. It potentially or ultimately destroys any chance of an individual has to actually enjoy any type of literature, as it is associated with work and chores.
Research has shown that the current years test scores are much lower currently, with the common
