Young athletes include high school, middle school, and even before then they are all at risk if they ever take that life changing hit that can affect them for the rest of their life. The age does make a difference for the simple fact that “young athletes are more at risk for another concussion, especially if he is back out on the field before he is fully recovered” (Jersey Basement). Coaches of sports teams of all ages need to make sure the athlete is cleared by the doctor to play before they are sent back on the field. If they are not cleared by a doctor first it will constantly cause the trauma and permanent damage to the brain then they will never fully
