Schools in the morning look like they have zombies roaming the halls instead of students. The cause of this is sleep deprivation from waking up super early to be to school on time. Students have quite a bit of homework, and most stay up late to get it finished. Starting school later would assist the average student greatly. The benefits of starting school a little later is that students would be awake and alert, have more time to get ready, and time for practices and/or study groups before school begins.

Students are usually more alert towards the middle of the day. Starting school slightly later will help students stay awake and alert throughout the day. When students have more sleep they will be more alert during school. When students come to school after having more sleep they can pay better attention to the lessons. To help fix this problem students must either put easier classes or study hall classes at the end of the day or as now, accept the responsibility to get their homework and keep up in their classes. Another way this conflict could be resolved is schedule games on early out days, or arrange regions so travel is not as far.

School starts very early, and it can be hard for students to get to school on time. If school didn’t start as early it would help, not just with this problem, but many others. These problems can include students not coming because they are too tired and not paying attention in class. Starting school later can help by: helping students be more awake, giving them more time to get ready in the morning, and allowing more time for practice and study groups.
