Narrative Writing Prompt
“Round’em Up and Move ‘em Out!” and “A Life on the Trail” give information about how life was on a cattle drive. Think about what might have happened if you were actually participating on a drive.

“ Use the Oxes Be ready i'm going to count to three” I said
“ one”
“ wait sage did you untied the rope on you!” Tobies Screamed
“Two!”
“Sage we’re not done tieing!” David panicked
“Three! Pull Up!” I screamed
The wagon started to wobble but slowly started to rise. I was carefully balancing myself on the wagon and the rope. The wagon was moving slowly. To slowly. I could tell the wood was starting to get week and bend.
“ hurry up or I’m going to fall!” I screamed
“ well maybe that's a good Idea!” David screamed But By the sound of his voice I could tell he was getting tired. Is two Ox and three humans not strong enough to pull up a wagon?
Finally after three minutes they got me and the wagon on the rocky ground. But the wagon tipped so we would have to tip it back up. I stood up and started to dust myself off. I could tell they were all glaring at me. I felt acquired so I had to talk first.
“ so… thanks alot for helping and sorry for causing trouble” I said with a crooked smile.
They all just sighed at me.
“ but hey at least we have food” I mumbled
David just shook his head and started laughing. He walked up to me and asked if I was
