Cato the Younger was a politician who was a member of the Senatus Populusque Romanus (SPQR). His full name was Marcus Porcius Cato Uticensis Cato the Younger was born in 95 BC in Rome, Italy. He didn’t have a good childhood because his parents died when he was young. Cato studied politics and philosophy. Cato the Younger was married to Atilia and had 2 children named Porcia Catonis and Marcus Porcius. Cato He later divorced her. In 72 BC Cato the Younger fought against Spartacus. In 65 BC Cato tried to prosecute Sulla for crimes he committed while he was a dictator. Cato despised Caesar and opposed Caesar’s laws. Cato the Younger fought for the republic NOT for a monarchy. He committed suicide April 46 BC. Cato the Younger committed suicide
