With major decisions such as college and scholarships surfacing during these past few months, I have found it difficult to be open to God's plan in my life. Oftentimes when one is undergoing a hard time, they desire a lending ear or a steady shoulder. I believe that to just listen with an nonjudgemental attitude allows for the heart to repair, and one can live out their duties as Christians. While I was a camp counselor last summer, there were many children struggling in their home life or at school; I tried to identify myself with them and provided comfort and advice. Furthermore, I believe that also to live in a Christlike manner, one must display kindness. Even just one's sheer presence can make a difference in an individual's life. During my high school career, I have devoted many hours to service with the Church 4-H, and FFA. While serving, I have tried to keep an optimistic attitude
