Catholic Church Observation Paper

Catholic Funeral My observation of a ceremony that I attended was a Catholic Funeral. While observing a Catholic Funeral I observed ,where the church was located, what the church looked like and statues outside of the church. While walking in the church, the church had an antique look about it such as the windows and the building structure. I also observed the music the church was playing before and during the ceremony, also how Catholic ministers dressed. The prayer the minister spoke was very heart warming. My experience of attending a Catholic Funeral for first time was different. It was different because I have never been to a Catholic service before. While I attended at Catholic Funeral I got to experience a different culture of religion. The Catholic church I attended was in Buckeye Lake, Ohio. It was a cold and rainy day, While looking at the church I observed the building, the building was made my bricks. Being brought up in a Christian background, I never got to experience different religious cultures. It was a once in a life time experience. The Catholic church was different from what they wore such as, robes and cross necklace and incense to having a Mary and baby Jesus statue outside the church. My observation to my cousins funeral was peaceful and respectful. It was a peaceful ceremony because Sid grew up Catholic. Most of Sid's family still attend that church he had his funeral at. The funeral gathered with all of Sid's family and friends who shared special moments together. I will never forget this experience, my observation was an eye opening experience it showed me how different churches are while attending a funeral and how churches believe in the same god but, do service and prayers
