The works of Catherine McAuley have been continued by the Sisters of Mercy in Queensland in the areas of disability support and social justice. Mercy Community Services disability support and the Romero Centre were both started by the Sisters of Mercy. Mercy Community Services, Sisters of Mercy Brisbane Congregation, offers services to help the disabled people to live a life that is fulfilled of choice. The services and programmes are run by the organisation these programmes can include, leisure and employment training support services, for people with disabilities to get a job.
