The Cathedral of Saint Mary was completed in 1970 by Pietro Belluschi, Dean of Architecture at MIT (consulting architect) with local architects Angus Mcsweeney, Paul Ryan, John Lee and Pier Luigi Nervi and partnering architect Pietro Belluschi.
