Social media or networking has taken over like a storm increasing connectivity among people in the hundreds of millions all over the world. However, I believe those are superficial and predominantly false connections.

Facebook, Twitter and MySpace are platforms created for people to connect to each other, but how meaningful are those connections? People who hide behind their computers or cellular phones interacting with others have the ability to portray anyone they want.
