As usual there are war profiteers who benefit from the war. During and even before WWI Holt sold tractors to England, France and Russia for agricultural purposes but the importers of these tractors were the governments themselves who used these tractors in the was because of their ability to work in difficult circumstances and was chosen as a gun-tractor after the war. During the first 4 years after the war Caterpillar tractors were artillery tractor and Holt started to be a military supplier. Soon the company faced a crisis after the artillery tractors were returned from Europe to be added to his inventory. After struggling and Holt's death the company accepted the banks conditions to stop producing the heavy tractors and keep small ones. …show more content…

Financial products offer Caterpillar a good advantage because it allows the company to help its customers who own a Caterpillar product everywhere. Caterpillar Insurance Holding Inc. offers insurance to protect the bought caterpillar product.

The company adopted the six sigma which that enabled Caterpillar to introduce the best value for its customers. Caterpillar has the idea that its future is a global corporation committed to quality and services. Nowadays it has more than 200 dealers in different countries.
