It was an early autumn morning on farmer Henry's magnificent farm. I was quietly sitting on the old wooden, barn door when I heard my brother, Joshua, saying “Robyn, is the farmer coming yet?” As I looked around the farmer was nowhere to be seen, so I simply replied with “not yet, he is probably still sleeping.” I heard a groan coming from inside the barn and then a loud thud. Joshua had obviously fallen off his large bed of hay. He was one of the only cows on the farm and had three large, black spots cover by his short white fur. He thought of himself as the best animal on the farm and would always boast. “You know the farmer sleeps in on Sundays,” I finally said. “Why don't you go see if Larry and Laurie are at the lake?” And with that he …show more content…
I flew across the beautiful paddocks to the centre of the farm, where the shimmering lake was located. I spotted Joshua on the far end of the lake talking to Larry and Laurie, so I decided to go and see what they were talking about. I flew down and landed on the large patch of grass next to Larry. “What are you guys talking about?” I asked.” Hi, Robyn!” Laurie exclaimed. He and Laurie were the farms only pigs and were always covered in mud. “We were just about to race around the barn and back, do you want to join us?” Of course, they are racing, I thought. “No thanks, but don't you guys race every day?” I …show more content…
As I walked over to Sally and Isabel, I noticed the three perfectly white and fluffy lambs making their way slowly to the lake. I wondered where their sister Victoria was, although deep down I knew they would never play with her. She was different from her sisters, she had a brown spot of cute fluffy fur on her back and a sweet little brown patch on her nose. While I thought it made her special and unique, not many other animals agreed with me.” Hey Robyn!” Sally said once I reached them. Sally was one of the cutest bunnies on the farm. She had a long soft coat of light brown fur with tons of tiny white spots all over her back. “Hello Sally, what have you guys been doing?” I asked curiously.
“Oh nothing much, just looking at the lake,” replied Isabel as she looked at the rippling water. Isabel was one of the many chickens on the farm. She had randomly showed up a couple of weeks back and the farmer took her in. She had said she was lost and couldn't find her farm.
“Ok, I was wondering if you guys knew where Victoria was?” I asked. “I haven't seen her all morning.”
“She is probably in the far field behind the farmer's house. She usually sits there,” said Sally

Like a viper an arrow pierced out from the thorn ridden brush before piercing through the side of a wild pig, the tip driving it through the heart. Before the fat brown target could squeal in pain it collapsed, dead. The brown-haired owner of that arrow followed out from the bushes only a moment later, a short bow in his left hand and a quiver of arrows on his right hip. The young man held no excitement on his lightly tanned face, just a small glimmer of satisfaction in his own abilities hidden in his emerald eyes. With careful movements his calf-length leather boots slid through the brambles he’d hidden behind, taking care to not ruin the dark green trousers that tucked into them.…
