Have you ever heard the disease called Castleman Disease? Well i don't suppose that you really ever heard of it on no what it is. In this essay i'm going to explain what Castleman Disease is so here we go.
What causes Castleman Disease? Castleman disease is just really an infection which is caused by a start of a very small Virus. The virus that really started the diseases is called HerpesVirus 8 or know as HHV-8. HHV-8 is know for a cancerous Tumor and that’s called Kaposi Sarcoma. Most commonly HHV-8 will show up in people that are HIV positive. HHV-8 can go to about 40 to 50% people that aren't HIV positive and they can get the Diseases too. One sign a person could have is night sweats or a high fever. Another one is a person could have uncontrolled weight loss and the loss of an appetite. The other thing a person might feel would be a weakness in walking or standing, and very tired all the time not able to do anything. Another sign would be a person might have shortness of breath, and another is a person might have leg swelling in both legs. The last thing a person might feel would be the feeling to vomit or the might have a skin rash that can appear anywhere. Those are some symptoms that someone might feel.
How would they be able to diagnose Castleman Disease? One way that they may be able to diagnose someone would be doing a Blood or Urine Test. Another way they might do is an Imaging Test to see your enlarged Lymph nodes or to see your spleen. Another thing that the might do is a CT scan which they are going to look at your Abonoman and your Pelvis. The last thing that they might do if the can’t find anything from the CT scan or a Blood/Urine Test is there going to do a Lymph node Biopsy. So that is how the Doctors can diagnose a
