"Welcome to the pub folks, what can we get you? The kitchen is open until eleven, they can make up pretty much whatever you'd like. Can I tempt you with a pint of our finest ale?"

Tourists falling into the pub are almost routine, these days. It's the castle on the hill. It isn't ancient, or even very old, but there is a history to it. People come to see the castle, but there are no tours. They come in here, disappointed, grab a pint and listen to tales of Rob and his castle.

He sold everything and came here, to this tiny village on the coast. You see, Evelyn's Grandmother was born here, in this very village, the Moran family has been here for as long as anyone can remember. Rob decided here was the place to build the castle he promised her. It would be his monument to Evelyn and a love even death couldn't put to an end. His own version of the Taj Mahal.

At first Rob wasn't welcomed, he was just that 'ugly American'. He kept to himself a lot. Sometimes he would sit by the water and draw in his sketch book. After folks around here got used to him, Rob was just thought of as 'odd'. He walked odd, talked odd even smelled odd. After word got out about his plan to build that castle up on the hill we all thought he was just plain nuts.

The first spring Rob was here a family got burned out of their home. He was the first one there to help them. He bought new clothes and toys for their kids, helped them find a new place. Some said he did it just to garner some good will around town, but he never asked anything in return. He did it because it was the right thing to do and he was in a position to do it.
