Castes In The Middle Ages

Castes were a very important structure in the middle ages. Ues in the early middle ages as a place to shelter all thoses in the kingdom, during times of war. Originally used for a defensive structure and not for material purposes like beauty. Over time this had changed. Most early castles were made of wood, and were less luxurious as castles to come. If a lord became richer he could rebuild the castle to stone.
The castles themselves improved on internal conditions and defending the lord,lady and other members of the kingdom inside. Eventually castes would be expanded to have many room, fine tapestries and decorations, generally becoming the elaborate palaces shown in hollywood movies.
