I read Crossed by Allie Condie. In this text there is a girl named Cassia who was trying to find this guy she was falling in love with named Ky, but he was sent to the Outer Provinces. Cassia has been in work camps and she gets a visit from her match, not Ky, whose name is Xander. Xander had given Cassia blue tablets and Ky’s artifact, a compass, but when they go out Cassia trades the compass for information to find Ky. The chapters switch from Cassia’s to Ky’s perspective, Ky is burying aberrations, people who are not allowed to marry because they or their families have committed infractions against the government, since the society sent them to die by being killed by “the Enemy.”…

The characters in the show Noah and Saskia are represented well, as they show honest depictions of typical teenage behaviour, which the audience can relate to dramatically to as the intended viewers are supposed to be in that age range. They are non-binary, or non-black or white characters. This means that the characters have depth and are not just subject to either being completely good or bad. They have traits of both negative and positive characters and we can see this in their dialogue and the audio-visual features of the show.…

Dynamic Character: Ky- I think Ky is a Dynamic character because throughout the entire series the only person Ky loves is Cassia. In Reached, Ky started liking Indie, which is nothing like him considering throughout the entire series Ky is supposed to only like Cassia. This made me really frustrated because I always wanted Ky and Cassia to be together and Indie is Cassia’s friend. Pg.…

In John Patrick Shanley’s play, the struggle for Sister Aloysius to prove—and for Sister James to believe—that Father Flynn molested Donald Muller serves as the central conflict. Father Flynn is progressive, hoping to reform the church which causes the more conservative Sister Aloysius to appear intolerant and suspicious of him simply for his radical ideas. This conflict addresses other concerns beyond abuse, such as that of the subjugation of gender in the Catholic church, which affects Sister Aloysius’s pursuit of justice and still resonates throughout contemporary pursuits of justice, as well. Shanley’s 2004 play convolutes Sisters Aloysius and James’s firm belief in the church’s patriarchal hierarchy by stymying them as they pursue justice…
