Cassi Maddox: A Study Of The Dance Industry

Cassi Maddox is an actress, writer and director born in Atlanta, Ga. She began performing at the age of five with a local dance troupe. After taking on the challenges of dance, she began to develop an interest in other creative outlets: singing, acting, writing and drawing. Throughout her childhood and public school education; she was involved in activities such as the African Dance Ensemble, chorus and her high school's theatre company.

She attended Georgia State University to continue her studies of the arts. Throughout her years at Georgia State, she performed and worked as a stagehand in numerous GSU Player's productions. She was nominated for the 2014 Region IV - Irene Ryan's Acting Scholarship Competition held through the Kennedy Center
