After reading the short story and watching the short film of “Cask of Amontillado”, I inferred that they are the same. Both the story and the film are alike in many ways. They both included every detail that the other had included, making them alike in every way. Throughout the film, it included every detail that the story did. They both included the same setting, characters, situation, and dialogue. In the story, the exposition started off at a carnival where Montresor informs Fortunato that he had some amontillado for him to taste. Fortunato then follows Montresor back to his vault where he is doesn’t know that he is really in for death.
