A survey was conducted in South High Community according to “Incentives for advanced let pupils and Teachers cash in.” It stated that “Mr Nystrom teaches Ap statistics to eight times as many student as he used to,and this year 70 percent of them scored high enough to qualify for college credit,compared with 50 percent before.’’ This was 20 percent growth of improvement by student because cash incentives were offered. This automatically proves that cash incentives works on students. It motivated the teachers and students.
Opponents may state that it gives students too much courage, hope and it may lead to students failing the courses which leads to a mediocre or bad transcript. It explains why we want to get a higher degree in education. Everything all leads back to money. From my personal experience, It has always been about how much I am receiving if I do this task. I was promised that if i get my grades up by the end of the semester, I would receive $500 and new clothes. I strived really hard and I could say that this was the first time I have tried hard to get what i wanted. All i could think about was getting $500 and new clothes.If this can work on a little kid, there’s much possibility that it can work on high schoolers.
