The main concept of a united nation is to mobilize people behind a vision of a single nation guided by common values and symbols. It is a big task to help everyone in this nation to fully understand the correct concept of being a citizen. Nation leaders come and go with personal ‘tagline’ to keep the country in mobile. The economic development of a new nation is based on a framework for the future which spells hope of progress and prosperity (Delanty and Patrick 2002). Every person born outside Malaysia whose father is at the time of the birth a citizen and whose birth is, within 1 year of its occurrence or within such longer period as the Malaysian Government may in any particular case allow, registered at a consulate of Malaysia or, if it occurs in Brunei or in a territory prescribed for this purpose by order of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, registered with the Malaysian Government and

3. How can one obtain Malaysian Citizenship?
Malaysian citizenship can be obtained either by registration or by naturalization. Either way you have to give up your prior nationality as Malaysia does not allow dual citizenship.
a. Citizenship by naturalization
If you are a foreign national, with no Malaysian origins whatsoever, you can obtain Malaysian citizenship by naturalization. The only requirements are that you are over the age of 21 years, have resided in Malaysia for more than 10 years in the 12 years period immediately preceding the date of application and can show an adequate knowledge of Malay language.
Apply for the Malaysian citizenship at the National Registration Office. The documents required to apply for Malaysian citizenship are the following:
