On July 22, 1991, Dahmer was in a gay bar looking for potential victims when he offered a group of three men one hundred dollars to come back to his apartment. He told them that they were going to be posing for nude photos, only one of the three men agreed to come. His name was Tracy Edwards and once he got to Dahmer's apartment he noticed the horrible smell. He also saw the multiple containers of acid sitting out in the open on Dahmer's floor. Dahmer would tell Edwards that it was used for cleaning, then he asked Edwards to look over at his fish tank. Dahmer then leaned over and listened to Edwards heartbeat, telling him he wanted to consume his heart. Edwards then asked if they could return to the living room to get a beer. Later he asked Dahmer if he could use the bathroom and upon getting up he punched Dahmer in the face and ran out the front door. Edwards was in Dahmer's apartment for a total of five hours before escaping. Edwards would go into the street to get the attention of the police and once he did they would return to Dahmer's apartment to get the keys to the handcuffs and investigate Edwards' story. When they knocked, Dahmer answered the door and let them in (Be3). Upon entering Dahmer's apartment they would see the knife under Dahmer's bed, photos of dismembered bodies, and a large blue barrier.
