Although Casey’s situation was preventable, it ultimately happened. There are possible solutions, though, to fix things. The least the social work agency could do is give Casey’s social worker a verbal warning that she will be fired if something like Casey’s situation ever happened again because of her. The agency could then set place Casey in a new, safer home and also set Casey up with therapist for the deaf that can help him heal. This resolution suggestion resolves the moral aspect of the case because it seeks to undo the hurt that Casey went through. This resolution suggestion also resolves the ethical aspect of the case because it allows the social worker to understand the consequences of not doing her job correctly. This resolution suggestion also resolves the ethical aspect of the case because it allows Casey’s worker to see that doing her job incorrectly not only has negative consequences for her clients but also for her.
