Market challengers are the companies who are the second highest market share capturers of the industry. In order to increase the presence they challenge the leaders in an aggressive bid. They need to decide upon which market leader to compete with in order to gain an advantage over others.
The objective of Study is understanding the strategy which should be implemented by different firms to gain an advantage over the other market leader over a period of time. And also the threat that is possessed in experimenting around in order to gain the advantage.

The article is indirectly making an attempt to convey that , risk of cannibalizing oneself and implementation of strategy is required for surprising success.
Limitations of the article according to me would be the only common strategy focused on was Innovation at all point of time and the Risks related to that strategy was also emphasized on, but no where there is mention of either a way out from the risks or a supplementary strategy.
Conclusion:
To be the Market leader or Market challenger in the league of so many competitors a company should neglect the risk of cannibalizing according to the market and technological trends. Only focused strategy in the articles was mostly innovation so strategies other than that and the ways to minimize the risk of cannibalization could be researched upon in order to make it work.
Driving new strategies, updating current strategies and feasibility of new strategies could be studied upon. Analysis for making future strategies could seen as an opportunity
For what course of time the attack should be focused is a question which is unanswered.
The companies which are acting as a Market Challenger it is a big challenge for them to cope up with. This will get rigorous considering the increasing competition day by day. The risk will keep multiplying with it.
