Case Study: Wake County

Groups are something that we are all introduced to at a very young age. We learn how to work as a team and learn how to share with others. Our text defines groups as two or more individuals, interacting and interdependent, who have come together to achieve particular objectives (Robbins & Judge, 2015). If I compare this definition to the way Wake County is operated, I would certainly believe that Wake County would fall into the formal group category. One thing that I can say about being a part of the education field, everyone is deemed as team or as equal. I recall a veteran teacher telling me “Were all in the same boat”. We are reminded that we are together and we must protect the shield. This plays into the effectiveness of the organization
