“On the morning of June 10th 1912” the town of Villisca, Iowa was shaken by the murder of eight victims beaten to death with an axe. The murder happened on June 10th around midnight. The murderer used an axe and beat the all victim’s heads in “using blunt side of the axe and hit 20-30 times” with the axe. Six of the eight victims was known as the Moore family. Joe Moore 43 and Sarah Moore 39, married and had four children the oldest Herman Moore 11, second oldest Kathryn Moore 10, third oldest Boyd Moore 7 and, the youngest Paul Moore 5. The other two of the eight victims siblings, Lena Stillinger 12 and, Ina Stillinger 8.
They were all murdered in beds while asleep after they came home from a Sunday school recital that evening. Lena and Ina asked to stay at the Moore’s after the recital. People believe that the killer snuck into the attic or the cellar when the Moore’s were attending their children’s church recital. …show more content…
I believe that the state senator hired William Mansfield to kill them because of a business argument and an affair involving Joe Moore and Frank Jones’ daughter-in-law.
