Transitioning to the M.P.D. M.P.D is the Memphis Police Department. Memphis polices have a hard task to accomplish each in every day. Police jobs are to protect the city but also to keep their selves safe also. As you know Memphis is a city that have a lot of crime so that make the job harder. With all the crimes likewise the city should hire more officers. Truthfully the city do wants to hire more officers but most people are afraid to be officers in the city of Memphis because of the danger of getting hurt. Over the years Memphis have lost over 400 officers to different states. I believe the reason for the officers to leave Memphis is because of their salary.
