3 Fictional Scenarios The worker’s name is John Park, and he is currently employed by the Federal Aviation Administration. The Federal Aviation Administration is a federal company that is responsible for the safety of civil aviation. Some of our major roles are safe movement of air traffic, issuing safety alerts and expediting traffic based on priority (What we do, n.d.). We as a company have over 100 facilities scattered throughout the United States. Worker John Park has always been a hard working employee, he shows up to work on time every day and never started any conflicts. Chance Hertwig is an eleventh grade math teacher and has worked at this school for over ten years. Recently a student in his first period class, has been saying that his teacher Chance Hertwig has been showing up to work drunk. We as a school did not assume anything of this at first, since we thought the students were playing a prank on their teacher to get him in trouble. Until later on that semester another kind reported his math teacher Chance Hertwig showing up to class. So soon after we have been monitoring Chance Hertwing to see if he was actually coming to work drunk. Soon enough we found out that he was in deed showing up to work drunk, we tested him for alcohol and his blood level was .12 which is a direct violation with our policy. We did ask him why he was coming to work drunk he said that he was really depressed that his wife left him recently and that his how he was coping with his loss. Even though he recently loss his wife, we at Mckinley high school do not tolerate employees showing up to work drunk. Employees showing up to work drunk is not just stupid but it also hinders the safety of the work environment and the students learning time. Chance Hertwig’s repercussion will be that he has to attend Alcoholic Anonymous (A.A) and graduate from the class (Find Local A.A., n.d.).
