Case Study: The Verizon Wireless Customer Agreement

Decent Essays
This is in response to the above-referenced complaint filed with the Office of the Attorney General by Ms. Julie Delmonaco. In her complaint, Ms. Delmonaco explains she disconnected her service on March 30, 2016, but was billed through the 16th of April. Ms. Delmonaco requests assistance with this matter.

Our records confirm Ms. Delmonaco requested to port her mobile number to another wireless carrier on March 30, 2016. The Verizon Wireless Customer Agreement indicates all disconnections are completed on the last day of the billing cycle or the contractual end date, whichever comes first. Therefore, Ms. Delmonaco’s services were permanently disconnected on April 5, 2016.

time of the incident, therefore the administrative subpoena to Verizon landline would not have turned up Gabe’s home records; an additional subpoena would have been required to obtain this information. The conclusion of the Massachusetts State Police report states “A review of phone records does not support WILLOUGHBY’S claim that a phone call occurred between GABE and MARY GRASING on October 18, 2011 at approximately 4:00 P.M.” Without seeing the additional records, if any, Mason was in possession of, it is unclear how this conclusion could be drawn. What analysis of Mary Grasing’s home records does show is that Marshard’s landline and Gabe’s landline were in contact with the Mary Grasing between October 17, 2011 and October 19, 2011, this is consistent with Willoughby and BenDavid’s version of the facts. These records should have…

I have been a Comcast customer for over eight years, and have had serious customer service issues dealing with billing, service, and contracts over the years. Because I live on my Social Security, I called the Retention/Loyalty phone number on January 2nd to ask if I could sign up for a lower-cost 2-year service contract. I had been paying over $160 per month, and asked if there was a plan that would be less expensive. I talked to an agent, and signed up for a triple play plan of $129.99 per month, less credit deductions; and was told my monthly bill would be approximately $152. When I received my pro-rated bill, it was $175.77.…

Cabela’s Customer Service & Support Waiting in line at any store seems to be quite the norm for most of us depending on the time of year and even the time of day. We can walk in on one day and there won’t be any lines at the checkouts but the next day you enter the store again and there are more people there and the checkout lines are longer than you expected. When this happens we tend to just wait patiently because we have become accustomed to this. However, when it comes to waiting “inline” on the telephone for help, we all tend to get a little upset.…

On September 1, 2017, Governor Greg Abbott signed the HB 1935 bill into law. The HB 1935 allows Texans 18 and older to openly carry Bowie and double-edged knives, daggers, swords dirk, spears and or knives 5 ½ inches or longer. An attorney named Stephen Halbrook, noted that the history of the Bowie knives was practically used by hunters for cutting small trees and to skin and process animals. The HB 1935 law came into effect, because of events that occurred 150 years ago, after the civil war; distinct groups paralleled to the Ku Klux Klan terrorized communities with long blades. In 1871, a bill was passed by the Texas Legislature not allowing people to carry knives over 5 ½, swords, brass knuckles and sling shots.…
