Case Study: The Texas Rangers

The Texas Rangers are having some problems on their roster less than a week after the latest injury to starting catcher Robinson Chirinos. According to MLB rumors from Texas, the Rangers will likely look at the trade market to find their replacement catcher.

Chirinos suffered a broken right forearm on Saturday against the Los Angeles Angels, per ESPN. He is scheduled to miss 10 to 12 weeks and will be placed on the 60-day disabled list.

“Obviously a blow to us, but this is the kind of thing that galvanizes this group. They pull together and play with a little more fever and passion. We knew Robby was hurting, but he wanted to give it a shot. But we knew it was a little more serious than what he and the trainer thought in the beginning,” Rangers
