The Providence Health and Service system core values are similar to the Saint Alphonsus Medical Centers. Within the mission statement there is mention of assisting the poor and vulnerable populations with compassion (Providence Health & Services, 2017). In Saint Alphonsus system (SAHS) core values, it emphasizes the importance of committing to those who are poor by providing excellent care especially those who are most vulnerable (Saint Alphonsus, n.d.). Providing high level of care to deprived and defenseless populations is important to the Saint Alphonsus Health Care system. The SAHS has joined up with the city of Boise and other partners in establishing 40 new units of permanent supportive housing for those who are experiencing
