Case Study: The Historic Elmira Organization

Elmira is known for some of its restored and preserved homes, and now the Historic Elmira organization wants to recognize the people who help make that possible. The organization will present their 8th annual Preservation Awards in March, and they're looking for nominees.

"We want to give special attention to the people who have gone out of their way to make a difference in this community, simply by maintaining their own homes and properties, and understanding the historic signifigance they have in our communities," said Kaye Newbury, President of Historic Elmira.

You can nominate someone in two different categories. The Project Award recognizes historic preservation, restoration, and reuse of homes or buildings. The Advocate Award
