He stated that all Council members were aware of discussions held since the tax bills were mailed. A number of calls were received from people representing different businesses, different commercial establishments, and different industrial establishments asking what Council’s intentions were and how the fee was calculated. In response to those questions, Council asked the County Manager to look at the fee structure, and to determine possible options to address the concerns of the citizens. One of the principle William uses is that the topic is an everyday subject. The poem, much like most imagist poems, is talking about something that is in everyday life. One can draw that Williams is talking about a fire truck in his poem with words like, “....fire truck moving tense unheeded... (6-9)” The fire truck is something in one's life that would not come as a surprise if one ever saw it.…

According to our textbook, “stove piping” is where people only talk to each other within their own segments of their own organizations. While a few people were still able to live comfortably, many more lived a desolate, impoverished life after the success of the 1920 's. The collapse of the stock market, the overproduction and over dependence of staple products, the excessive buying of stocks on loan and more caused many long and short term effects for the youth, working class and old alike. One of the darkest times in Canadian history was the Great Depression, due to economic, social and political impacts which affected the entire country.…
