When one first walks into the doors of The Forest Lake Club they are presented with a welcoming, elegant, and calming atmosphere. This is complemented by a lot of windows and light colors, making their rooms feel more open. The windows outlook a spectacular view, allowing their members to feel as if they were outside. Similar, they pay attention to the minute details throughout their club. For example, they take the time to print their logo onto their napkins. However, is it very competitive to become a member. One is placed on a five year waiting list, has to be recommended by four existing members, and be accepted by the board of directors. Meaning, they have to do make sure the members agree with any major changes that are done within the club. This shows some complications when they want to renovate. Another quality that he points out is the significance of their location. This is related to class because it illustrations the value marketing can have on a business. Due to their location, they are capable to offer various distinctive amities compared to other competing clubs. Yet, their club being located by the water it can lead to numerous unexpected disasters. For example, two years ago the club was hit with a flood that wiped-out their entire first floor. Cause the club a lot of money. Similar, in 2008 the economy was faccing extreme decline which impacted their club significantly. In fact, their club went from a ten year waiting list to a five year waiting list. This is demonstrated in class, by describing how the club industry is not considered as an essential need to survive. So, in an economic downturn, club membership will be prone to decline. Overall, the Forest Lake Club indicates many diverse traits compared to their competing clubs, and they have an exceptional individuality that makes them stand
