The organization I chose is not considered to be a partisanship because there are many stances and philosophies to treatment and partnerships are built to work together in different human service organizations for the best possible treatment for each and every individual (Woodside & McClam, 2015). For that reason, I chose the Empire Recovery Center, which is a drug and alcohol rehabilitation and detoxification center. Treatment programs with only one method of treatment have a reduced number of successful substance abusers and alcoholics recovering (Woodside & McClam, 2015).
The building the recovery center is located at was built in 1912 in downtown Redding. In the 1930s, the sheriff at that time claimed there were 127 bars just on one street
