The conduct decided to engage in was going into a restaurant located in downtown Naperville at 35 S. Washington, known as The Catch 35. These specific restaurant is well known for its seafood and premium steak. Reservations are mostly enforced since it gets utterly packed. Walk-ins are most likely turned away, meaning they will not take an individual unless the vacancy is handy or for a certain motive. However, while walking in without a reservation and sitting myself down. I observed the waitress coming in my way kind of disoriented, since it’s a requisite to wait for a server upfront, and register for the reservation. As walking into the restaurant and taking a seat, there was a certain big number of strange looks cast in my direction. The looks I received were not very kind as many looked and pretty much scowled at me. However, not one single person acted to stop me. Right after taking a seat I was most likely able to read people’s minds, believing they were seeing me as a lunatic or simply a non-caring person who had past right in front of everyone. For a fact, they didn’t realize I was breaking a social norm, but clearly I was in a group of individuals I did not know. Therefore, the people around me reacted this way after taking a seat because it was noticeable, as well as I was stepping out of line and doing things differently from the rest which in a way causes great disruption to others, confusing, and minor annoyance. The waitress reaction was more of a confused reaction; I could tell she was a little uncomfortable at the time when trying to understand what I was doing. Irritation and anger took place during the norm violation by the waitress calling me impolite, she reacted this way because I was being rude by ignoring her as well as by walking away without ordering anything to drink nor eat. Even though the people around me did not say anything directly at me, I could feel the awkwardness in their expressions and how they would talk to each other after I got there, compared with before I got there.
