Case Study: The Braves Suntrust And Mercedes-Benz Stadium

Last year, the Metropolitan area of Atlanta closed on a permeant to finance and build two new stadiums: The Braves SunTrust and the Falcon’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium. According to AJC, the Falcons closed on an 850 million deal to finance the new stadium. This number however do not include the taxpayer’s money portion. The total cost of building the Mercedes-Benz Stadium is projected to cost 1.5 billion. The Braves new SunTrust stadium is estimated to be a 1.1-billion-dollar project. This project will include the ballpark and adjacent entertainment district. The entertainment district, named the “The Battery”, will eventually include a hotel, office buildings, and about 60 restaurants and bars that will cost 400 million in taxpayer’s money according
