Case Study: Stacy Is Guilty

Decent Essays
After multiple weeks of in depth studying, we have concluded Stacy is guilty. Her testimony does not match what really happened; according to the evidence found at the scene of the incident. The first thing our team noticed when we arrived on the scene was that his feet were on the second and third steps of the stairs. Usually, when you fall down the stairs from the top, you land completely on the floor instead of the second and third step. But if he did fall from the second or third step as the evidence suggests, it’s unlikely he’d be dead. Neither of these match what Stacy said in her testimony. Another thing our team noticed was how he was positioned on the floor. He still had a cup in his hand when we arrived. The cup was also intact.

Not sure if this is historical event or not, although the O.J. Simpson case comes to mind when thinking of an influence of modern American criminal justice system. The trial became an entertainment event like in the trial of Casey Anthony. Because of the news media and the way the police handle the evidence, this trail played out like a Life Time movie. One would think that's why media coverage today is so nonfactual. Just pure entertainment.…
