Case Study: Springboard

Improved Essays
The main reason for the meeting is so that Dr. Davis can have a connection with SpringBoard and to better understand the curriculum. Dr. Davis was an assistant principal in Rockwall prior to his current position as Executive Secondary Curriculum Director. Dr. Davis appreciates data and facts, so if you have some supporting data or information on how SpringBoard is supporting academics, especially with PSAT/SAT/NMSQT, that will be helpful. The alignment of SpringBoard with the SAT Suite of Assessments might be good to talk about. His biggest concern with College Board is the cost associated with all that CB offers so if he can see that it is money well spent, I think he will have buy-in. Our contract for Courses 1-3 is up for renewal this summer

Schools in the past have lost their credentials because of multiple presidents and financial failure. As FAMU students, we should not have to go through that, we should be able to graduate in four to five years with successful degrees. It is understandable that students do not know everything to make a big decision but it would be nice to just hear what we have to say because as a student our experiences are completely different that that of an adult. The students may have thought and said something that the board has never considered. It is worth the try, it will not break us or make us because the board has the final say regardless.…
