Smart Beginnings is a project that creates a promise to all parents to prepare their little ones for school. They ensure conditions for a strong, healthy start for young children and their families are accessible. A successful school readiness network requires the cooperation of everyone in the community which includes parents and families, schools, child care providers, and other community assets such as social services, libraries, and museums.
Every Virginia child is prepared for school, laying the foundation for workforce and life success.

Our school is a part of the Smart Beginnings network of locally operated partnerships that are the foundation of the early childhood system in Virginia. The Virginia’s Quality Rating and Improvement
