Sam Ellis, CEO of Forward Software, is concerned with a lawsuit between Focus Software and Discount Software. Focus is suing Discount on the basis that VIP Scheduler, Discount's product, is infringing copyright on Focus's software, Focus A-B-C.
Forward Software wants to expand into the applications industry and provide high-quality product in the software market. Forward Software recently released a product, Cinco, in competition with Focus A-B-C. Cinco allowed its users to emulate Focus A-B-C's menu while having better graphics and functionality.
