2. In accordance with the above references, a annual SASOHI of the Panzer Fitness Center was conducted on 18 June 2015 by Mr. Anthony Edwards, USAG Stuttgart Safety Specialist. The purpose of this inspection was to determine compliance to applicable regulations and to identify noncompliance issues requiring abatement.

3. Deficiencies, recommended corrective actions and Risk Assessment Codes (RAC) are included in this report. All RAC 1 and RAC 2 deficiencies shall be abated immediately, but no more than 30 days from the date of this report. All RAC 3 and RAC 4 deficiencies should be abated within 60 days. The Fitness Center manager should maintain a detailed log for all work orders/service requests that have been submitted.

It was noted that the area over the blanket washing machine had very low illumination due to poor lighting or not enough ceiling light reflection. (29 CFR 1926.56(a)) RAC 3 = Moderate Recommendation: Submit a service order to have an additional ceiling light fixture installed over the blanket machine area.

f. Impedes egress. All the secondary fire exit discharge routes gravel surfaces were uneven due to soil erosion. (29 CFR 1910.37(h)(3)) RAC 3 = Moderate Recommendation: Submit a service order to have the exit routes repaired and surfaced.

h. Playground area. Observation. The playground area is located on the backside of the facility and there are some problem areas that needs to be addressed. The Panzer Hotel playground equipment and area faced with a challenge of meeting current standards for playground safety; avoiding legal liabilities; balancing budgets and providing a safe, and yet fun play environment for the hotel guest children.

1) Playground surface. It was noticed throughout the playground area that surface matting had several cracks.
