To summarize, this research was directed towards Publix Super Markets. The purpose of this research paper is to discover whether the price is a factor in Publix Customers loyalty. This question was explored in four main chapters. In chapters one discussed was the introduction of the company as well as the information of the founders, a brief timeline, historical products, along with a brief description of the company’s top competitors. This chapter is also where the statement of the problem was expressed above was presented. Moreover, chapter two voyaged to a literature search as well as a comparative company analysis. One primary recommendation here is for Publix to take advantage of the opportunity for expansion. As stated before Publix is limited and only operates in five states has over 1,000 stores these numbers are nothing compared to their competition for example Walmart, who has locations globally. They have the opportunity to cover a number of states but insist on saturating the East Coast. Thus we recommend Publix should explain but should also be of cost: Publix expansion should be done gradually due to a global increase in labor and operational cost. Another opportunity Publix can take full advantage is entering markets who are now on the rise such as health market. Also, they should capitalize on the diverse population focusing on offering products which cater to them.
Also one of Publix strength is their Publix private label. Publix brand offers customers with a lower price item of the same quality as the other brands. Publix continues to market their products. The lower price of the Publix brand might offset a weakness of Publix, which is customer perceiving Publix price range not flexible and not affordable. Lastly, it is recommended that Publix to continue to strengthen their customer service aspect of the company. This quality is one that they have mastered but must continue to provide their associates with training and guides towards learning the Publix way and maintaining the Publix
