Case Study: Practice And Increase Mary's Interpersonal Skills

Focus: Mary and her family will develop, practice and increase Mary’s interpersonal skills. Ms. Smalls (MHP), Mrs. Gailliard (MHS), and Mary process lack and miscommunication and discuss overall process on IPOC goals.
Intervention: MHP, MHS and Mary process incidents of unhealthy communication and lack of wanting to change negative behaviors. Ms. Rhonda Murray (Mary’s DSS worker) join the visit via telephone. MHP, MHS, Ms. Murry and Mary review each goal and provided feedback as requested. MHP asked MHS and Mary to elaborate on their responses. MHP encourage MHS to provide information about the lack of ability for Mary to process her behaviors. MHP, MHS and Mary process the effects of Mary’s choice to use non-verbal communication in the home.
