Case Study Peter Sheridan

Peter Sheridan is a 46 year old, straight, married male that is employed as an insurance agent for a local insurance company. Previously, he had attended and finished high school and his college education while as a U.S citizen. He is referred to me, because there was an incident involving his wife, Angela and their son, Thomas. The family composition is composed of their son, Thomas who is 14 and a daughter, named Miranda who is deceased. It had been experienced that there were two previous cases of domestic violence that happened last year. As the social worker, within this case I am going to effectively look into the situation and see what I can do to for Peter to gain services. I couldn’t determine what racial background, he is, but with what was stated, I am going to leave it up for discussion. I wouldn’t want to make a judgment about someone without knowing more details first. Peters ethnicity and or religious affiliation is that he is an Episcopalian and likely Jamaican. Along with, I can uncertain of his cultural and spiritual aspects that would define him, I will look further and add them into notes at a later time. Presenting Problem: On the initial report, it has indicated that Peter is present because of the attack, he made about his wife, Angela during the vacation they were in Jamaica. Angela has injuries and is in critical condition and is being looked at. It has been stated that the son, Thomas was around when the occurrence happened. The Police were notificated because neighbors had heard noises and then immediately took action. Currently, the mother and son are at Buffalo General Hospital. Peter is living in Buffalo, New York with his mother. As the further notes states, the mother and son will be having an Order of Protection against
