Zotter Case

For the major project, I selected appropriate methodological tools and the major tool for the project was case study. However, the project was entirely based on the secondary research on Zotter chocolate factory. I selected Zotter for many reasons and the basic reason was consistent innovations in products that increased the portfolio of the organisation. On the very first instance, I had to select the philosophy for methodology of the major project as it enabled me to take appropriate decisions for the framework to conduct the research on the organisation selected. The interpretivist philosophy appeared to be the most appropriate philosophy for the major project. Reason behind the selection of interpretivist approach is the investigation of a case study based on the interpretations and meanings. I further understood that the interpretive case study on Zotter was required to be classified as explanation of a specific process while finalising the approach to be selected for the major project. I was in need to establish the relationship between the theories and the scenarios of Zotter as identified in the case study.

The implementation of such models and theories of management and marketing enabled me to understand the highlighted issues and the ways to understand issues in other scenarios of same nature. Before starting work on the research project, I was unaware of complexities involved in the exploration of the selected case study because of insufficient knowledge on the selected models and theories. Due to this reason, I faced issues in selection of the most appropriate models and theories for the research project. With the help of detailed discussions with supervisors and other peers along with thorough research on the issues, I learned about the selected models and
