WV’s Foster Care System
The foster care system in West Virginia is a broken system that should be properly set up and based on the child’s desires. Foster kids should have a choice to stay or go to their biological parents or foster parents. Many kids don’t want to go back to their biological parents because of the emotional scars that they caused them. Often the kids are neglected it the decision of whom to go with, and get separated more than once from who they love. Many of the kids are too young and would not be able to make the decision, but if the kid is old enough, he or she should be able to decide who to live with.
The issues of the system should be exposed to the public. Communities are some of the most powerful things, and therefore
