The first thing I did was that the A for every quadratic equation should be negative because that’s how angry birds fly. The first four questions were very similar because they gave me the x intercepts. I used the intercept form to solve these four questions because I already had the x intercepts and if I put it into intercept form I would only have to solve for A.
Equation 2a can be written as y=-0.16(x)(x-10) and y=-0.16(x-5)2+4. Those two equations are equal because they are just in different form, I just expanded the first equation and then used completing the square to find the second equation. I would prefer to use the 1st equation in this case because I find it easier to find the x intercepts and then solve for A. If I knew the point of the vertex I would prefer the 2nd equation because that would be easier.
The first equation is the intercept form equation and the second one is vertex form equation. Changing A in the intercept form …show more content…
I would also need consider that the birds can’t directly hit the pig most of the time if the bird hits the pig at a part of his body the pig will lose health or die.
When designing the game of angry birds, I don’t think it is necessary to use all 3 forms but I think certain forms would be used more than others because some are less useful. I think that the vertex form wouldn’t really be used a lot because it is very specific on the vertex and in angry birds you don’t really choose the vertex. I think intercept form and general form would be one of the best because both forms you only really need to change 1 parameter and one of the x intercepts would stay the same so that can be the place where the bird
